I’m not just here to talk; I’m here to create change. From improving schools to protecting our environment and supporting mental health, I’ll ensure every young person’s voice in Warwickshire is heard loud and clear. And together, we’ll lead the way, not just wait for change to happen!
Alisa S, 16
Im a Young Person who has lived in Warwickshire for a couple of years now & I feel as if young people in our area have previously been underrepresented & not been able to talk on issues regarding youth unemployment & our environment to make our community better & thats why I’d want to stand as a member of the Warwickshire Youth Council to change this as we are the future.
Alyssa M, 11
The most important issue to me is mental health. It is very over looked and often laughed at. I believe that it is important as i use to have bad mental health and was overlooked. The second most important was education. In certain pieces people aren't able to learn fully due to bullying and I dont stand for that I believe everyone should have the access to education. Finally I chose social media. Social media can be a happy or a dark place it is a issue that need to be faced.
Charlie S, 17
I will work to make sure every young person’s voice in Warwickshire is heard. I care about improving mental health support, creating more opportunities for youth, and protecting our environment. Together, we can build a fair, inclusive community where young people feel valued, supported, and empowered to create change.
Connie B, 11
I would like to see a positive change and uprise for supporting lgbtqia+ in schools and around Warwickshire. I would also like to see an increase to mental health services and to be more aware of young people’s struggles and health.
Deena S, 17
I’m ready to make positive change. I’ll listen, speak up, and make sure the issues that matter to you are taken seriously. I want to bring fresh ideas such as Pop-up activities like outdoor cinema nights, art walls, or mini sports tournaments, A “Talent Swap” Day where young people teach each other key skills (coding, baking, football tricks, drawing, etc.), Workshops run by young people on stress, exams, friendships, and confidence, A Young Carers Café — a place to meet others, share experiences, and relax.
Elizabeth O, 16
I will campaign for better education, improved mental health support, and action to reduce youth crime. I’ll make sure ethnic minority voices are represented and valued. By listening to young people across Rugby, I’ll work to build a safer, fairer, and more supportive community for everyone.
Ellie-Mai B, 12
I’m a girl who likes change but not too much change I like to sing act and dance and I also like helping others and being the best I can be I also like being a role model for those who don’t have role models or someone to look up to.
Emilia A, 16
The system is creaking , we can change it together. To begin with , I believe the transport system for the society in Warwickshire is inefficient , pricey and unreliable. Therefore, I would like to join the council to provide a safer and consistent transport system. Furthermore, I would like to be catalyst for the changes in our environment in the midlands, looking for sustainability in our local areas. Finally, the education system is working out and i would like to influence a change on that.
Izaan A Q, 12
I am running to spark fresh ideas, louder youth voices and bold action for Warwickshire. i will champion creativity, safer spaces and real opportunities and projects shaped by us. Vote for energy. honesty and a council that treats young people as builders of tomorrow, not spectators. "Dream it.Shape it.Live it!"
Jathusha S, 14
Hi guys! I want to make school life better, boost mental health support, and protect our environment. As a student myself, I really do get what young people actually face, and what can be done. I've got many ideas, commitment, and enthusiasm (lots)! Vote for me - let's create real, positive change together! <3
Jay K, 14
I'm Jay and this is my manifesto. Advocate for tighter laws, harsher crackdown on crime involving youth. Improve school welfare systems, specialised support for students with SEND, pastoral services for underprivileged families. Stricter regulations on cyber-bullying, online grooming and promoting content filtering across online platforms. Vote Jay.
Kalea N, 16
I would like to organise fun mental health that allow young people to detach in a care free, streets free, safe environment. This could be with board games! Movies! Alongside so much more. But also organise volunteer groups to help in care homes.
Kaysha K, 11
I’m Kaysha and I’m standing to be a Youth Councillor for Warwickshire to speak up for the issues that matter to us. Mental Health: Push for stronger support so no young person feels alone. Education in Schools: Making sure everyone receives equal and adequate support and opportunities within schools. The Environment: Enhanced focus on the harm caused by pollution, deforestation and climate change. More awareness of protecting our green spaces. I’m committed, passionate, and ready to represent your voice. Vote for Kaysha — For a safer, kinder, and stronger future for Warwickshire’s youth.
Louise P, 13
If I’m elected to the Youth Council, I’ll use my debating skills to speak up for young people across Warwickshire and tackle issues which young people tell us affect them. This could include lack of support for special educational needs, mental well-being and the rise of toxic masculinity in schools.
Marie O, 16
I will push for mental health awareness programs into the school curriculum to help students better understand their own mental health and motivate more people to reach out to mental health services advised from school as many are too afraid to. Advise more aid in school with writing CVs,Personal Statements and learning interview skills and preparation for interviews. I will aim to help children have more of a voice of their concerns or issues with the education system to improve theirs and others experience in school.
Maddie B, 16
I aim to nurture curiosity with positive educational initiatives that give young people models to look up to and encourage them to learn. Also, further initiatives that give people struggling a platform to speak out freely and with anonymity— making a safe space for all, regardless of who you are.
Riddhima U, 14
I am a fourteen year old who believes that mental health for young people should be taken more seriously as well at safety on the streets to lessen the amount of youths getting harmed when they are in vulnerable circumstances. I have many great ideas and will give it my all if I get the privilege of being on the youth council!
Sai S D, 12
I would like to be elected for Warwickshire youth council because I want to make sure that the voices of young people across the county are heard and acted on.Too often decision about education, wellbeing, crime and opportunities are taken without the consulting the people it affects most. I believe that if I am selected I can change that for everyone.
Satkirat K K, 15
I wish to create a safer environment for young people when outside of their homes and schools, whether that be through transport safety or protection against crime and issues in their local communities. Furthermore, I would like to create more inclusive spaces for young people to turn to in their communities, specifically minorities who are suffering more than others, and pave a sustainable and brighter future for those after our generation.
Shubh V, 25
I want to make Warwickshire a place where young people can really thrive. I love making school more fun and enjoyable for everyone, I’m excited about youth jobs and giving everyone chances to explore their future and I care about our environment and keeping it green and clean. I’ll bring positivity, ideas, and action to make a real difference.
Toni O, 16
I plan to change Warwickshire for the better if I joined the Youth Council by introducing initiatives which would improve education in Warwickshire – from a social and educational aspect. My aim is to have made Warwickshire an undivided, safe and inclusive society for youth in schools and outside of school.
