As a more visually led channel, Instagram is often used by and for young people, to communicate with other young people – with other channels we often target messages to their parents/adults. The account is a way to further share activities and opportunities for children and young people in Warwickshire to different audiences. It is also a chance to showcase more of what Warwickshire County Council is working on to help create a Child Friendly Warwickshire.

As a new channel for CFW just over a year after launching, it provides an opportunity to explore further links and engagement with different potential Friends and partners. Even more people can join Child Friendly Warwickshire in helping children be safe, skilled, heard, healthy and happy by following our new account – and we’re up to 80 followers already!

We mainly use #ChildFriendlyWarwickshire on Facebook and Twitter, but Instagram is arguably more popular for the use of hashtags. We’re hoping to achieve more positive engagement from you, members of the public, when you’re out and about: for example, if you attend a local event previously promoted by us as being child friendly.

Make sure we know about what you do to be more child friendly so that we can celebrate it across social media with your community and beyond.

If you don’t already, follow Child Friendly Warwickshire on:

Remember to also use the hashtag, #ChildFriendlyWarwickshire in any posts related to children and young people.

This is a future we can all believe in. This is Child Friendly Warwickshire.
