Child Friendly Warwickshire

With less than three weeks to go, young people across Warwickshire are urged to secure their place at Our Voice, Our Warwickshire Youth Conference 2026, taking place on Friday 30 October at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Ansty Park.

Organised by young people, for young people, the conference promises a day packed with fun activities, new experiences and opportunities to meet others, learn new skills and have a say on important issues.

There will be plenty happening throughout the day, including the world's largest PAC MAN and a Hang Tough competition, as well as information stalls to explore and freebies to take home. Young people can also enjoy a free lunch, snacks and refreshments, and enter a raffle with a laptop as the top prize.

Alongside the fun, eight interactive workshops will give young people the chance to try something new and get involved in a wide range of activities.

From learning lifesaving CPR skills and putting teamwork to the test through games and challenges, to exploring future careers, managing money and discovering how pollution affects our rivers and lakes, there's something for everyone.

Other workshops will focus on mental health and wellbeing, challenging stereotypes, building confidence, exploring personal goals and discussing how young people can help tackle knife crime.

The conference will also provide opportunities for young people to share their ideas, express their opinions and speak directly with local decision makers about the issues affecting their lives.

Kay, one of the young conference organisers said: "We want this year's conference to be a day that young people will really enjoy. There are loads of activities to try, interesting workshops and plenty of opportunities to meet new people.

"But it's also about bringing young people together, sharing our ideas and having a say in things that matter to us. Whether you're coming with friends or on your own, there's something for everyone."

Councillor Wayne Briggs, Portfolio Holder for Children and Families, Education and SEND at Warwickshire County Council, added: "Warwickshire’s Youth Conference is a fantastic annual opportunity for young people to come together. What makes this event so important is that the agenda has been set by young people themselves, focusing on the issues, ideas and experiences they want to explore.

"It reflects our commitment as a council to listen to young people, involve them in conversations about the things that matter to them and make sure their voices help shape the decisions that affect them. I would encourage young people across the county to register, get involved and make the most of everything this year’s conference has to offer."

With the conference fast approaching, young people are encouraged to book their place and be part of an exciting day.
