Being skilled

Be skilled - have the opportunity to enjoy the learning they need - leading to the achievements and employment they want

To give children and young people the best opportunity to learn and achieve, you could:

  • chat to children about your own profession/business to build aspiration and highlight different career options
  • encourage them to make the most of all formal and informal opportunities to learn such as work experience, intergenerational activities, higher education, extracurricular pastimes

All-age careers support

Our all-age careers strategy is designed for Warwickshire's residents and businesses. It will support young people to prepare for the world of work and also adults who wish to:

  • re-enter the workplace
  • change careers
  • progress at work during their working life

We focus on supporting our more vulnerable residents such as those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to move into employment. We also offer support for businesses wishing to recruit, train existing employees or employ apprentices.
